Disaster Preparedness and awareness really a big factors in reducing risk but we can not discount the facts that economical support by the government to the community in the upland is also an indispensable factors. Lack of economical support on them drive them to destroy our forest, as their means of living. Recently in our province of Lanao del Norte in the Philippines almost 100 lives were lost and more than 200 people still missing due to the flood carrying logs from upstream.
